FAQs on the Mandatory Co-Parenting Programme (CPP)
General Questions
All parents with children below 21 years old are required to attend the CPP before filing for divorce.
No. The CPP e-learning is accessible for free on the Family Assist portal and the CPP Consultation is offered for free at all Strengthening Families Programme (FAM) centres.
The CPP consists of the CPP e-learning and consultation (either alone or with your spouse) with a counsellor from the FAM centres. The e-learning is to be completed individually by each party.
If you wish to attend the individual consultation, you may choose to keep this decision private. If you prefer to attend the couple consultation, please discuss this with your spouse and come to a mutual agreement on the session date and time prior to booking an appointment. Please also ensure that you and your spouse have completed the CPP e-learning prior to attending the couple consultation.
If you are unable to complete the CPP e-learning due to visual impairment and/or technological difficulties, please submit the Family Assist Enquiries Form for assistance.
Here are some ways you can troubleshoot:
- Clear your cache.
- Log out and log in again.
- Avoid opening multiple browsers and tabs when navigating e-learning.
- Switch to a different device and/or internet browser.
- Turn off VPN, firewall services or iCloud Private Relay.
- Use the browser’s incognito or private browsing mode: Incognito (Chrome), Private (Safari), or InPrivate (Microsoft Edge).
- Try again after completing the steps above.
- If you continue to encounter issues:

- Capture screenshots/videos of your entire screen, including the error, address bar, and date and time of issue; and
- Note down key details, including the type of internet browser and type of device (iOS or Windows).

No, OCFA does not offer Mandatory Co-Parenting Programme (CPP). For more information on CPP, please refer to CPP Registration.
If you are facing divorce, family and marriage issues and would like to speak to a counsellor online, you can sign up for an account at OCFA.
You must login with Singpass to register for CPP e-learning and book a consultation session. If you do not have a Singpass account, please register for an account. If you are ineligible for Singpass, please submit the Family Assist Enquiries Form for assistance.

However, the Women’s Charter allows applicants to be excluded from the CPP if they lack mental capacity. To apply for an exclusion / exemption from CPP based on lack of mental capacity, please submit the Family Assist Enquiries Form for details on proceeding with such applications.
Yes, individuals who are in prison and have children below 21 years old are required to attend CPP, prior to filing for divorce. Sessions can be conducted online to accommodate their circumstances. To facilitate this request, please submit the Family Assist Enquiries Form for assistance.
CPP Consultation
You can login via Singpass to complete your CPP e-learning. After completing the e-learning, you will see a “Book Appointment” button. Click on it to schedule your consultation.

No, you must personally attend the couple or individual consultation.
If you are residing overseas, please contact the FAM centres for assistance. The agency will make arrangements for you to attend the consultation (alone or with your spouse) virtually.
Upon completion of the CPP e-learning, you will be directed to an online booking platform to select a suitable time slot. As agencies require time to prepare for the consultation session after receiving your registration, the earliest available slots will be 3 days from the date you login to the booking platform. If you require an earlier time slot to file a cross-application[1], please contact the FAM centres.
You may choose one of the FAM centres to attend the CPP consultation via the online booking platform.
CPP seeks to help parents make informed decisions on their marriage, encourage joint decisions on divorce in interests of children’s well-being, address co-parenting concerns, develop a co-parenting plan and support parents in coping with the divorce (the list is not exhaustive).
The counsellor will make an assessment of your needs and confirm on the number of CPP sessions to attend after the first session.
You are required to complete the CPP e-learning before booking for an appointment for the consultation session(s). It takes about 1.5 hours to complete the e-learning.
You should inform your counsellor of the timeline for your cross-application so that the counsellor can work with you to complete CPP within the timeline.
